Lovely concentration of fruit, with added undertones of beeswax complexity.
Ernst Gouws & Co is a family owned winery in the heart of Stellenbosch, South Africa, synonymous with producing quality South African wines which are rich in heritage, tradition and driven by a profound passion for wine and family values. In 1975 a dapper and enthusiastic Ernst travelled to Europe, under his father’s instructions not to return to South Africa until he had mastered the art of winemaking. During his voyage of discovery to France and Germany he missed his childhood sweetheart, Gwenda and invited her to visit. After falling madly in love they decided to marry there and then. Forty years later, three children and many Gouws grandchildren later, Ernst and Gwenda still run the family business alongside their three children, Ezanne, Ernst Junior and Inke.
CEZ is the most recent addition to the Ernst Gouws & Co range of quality wines, with a story behind every bottle. It is a wine marked by eminence, celebrating the women of the Gouws family. This exclusive brand honors the past by embodying the stories of two generations of women working in the wine industry. It also embraces the future of women winemakers, by being named after Cezanne, the youngest woman in the Gouws family. With it, they seek to inspire young women to pursue their dreams.
CEZ White is pale green-gold with fresh cling peach, pineapple, ripe apple and lemon perfume leaping from the glass. The palate is juicy like eating fresh fruit just plucked from the tree! Lovely concentration of fruit, with added undertones of beeswax complexity in a mouth filling Summers delight. Moreish and delicious!
