Aromas that combine the fine aspects of the Ribera del Duero's queen grape with Murcia's warm Mediterranean sunrise, more balsamic and spicy.
An intense, attractive ruby-red color predominates. This well-blended mix of Tinta Fino (Tempranillo - 50%) and Monastrell (Mourvèdre - 50%) is characterized by an immense amount of red fruit, supported by elegant hints of cocoa, roasted aromas and fine leather. It's on the palate that we find the greatest pleasure, with well-balanced acidity offering a fresh entry and an attractive sweetness on the mid-palate, making this wine highly addictive. A long finish with well-polished, firm tannins that enhance the wine's body.
Casa Rojo is an association of winemakers, sommeliers, wine enthusiasts and designers who wanted to market authentic Spanish wines from small family-run wineries featuring distinctive labels. They use only Spanish grape varieties such as tempranillo, garnacha, monastrell, macabeo or albariño and verdejo.
After creating wines all over Spain, José Luis Gómez and Laura Rojo decided to return to their native land in southern Spain. In 2009, they built a winery and planted a vineyard in the unique Paraje de La Raja, a fertile valley located between the Sierra del Carche and the Sierra de La Pila, in the Altiplano of the Murcia region. Today, the vineyard comprises 23 hectares of Monastrell (Mourvèdre), Garnacha (Grenache) and Syrah. They also own another estate in Ribera del Duero. On these two terroirs, they produce exceptional wines with strong personalities.
