Crisp, very fresh with a long finish, with surprisingly soft acidity and pleasant tannins. An excellent meal companion.
It's hard not to be seduced by the bluish stare of the boar that adorns this bottle. Beautiful cherry-red color. On the nose, intense youthful notes of wild red fruit and licorice are accompanied by hints of garrigue, balsamic, menthol and very light toasty notes. Aged 4 months in oak barrels, Enemigo Mio presents a velvety texture with notes of griottes cherries, black cherries and prunes, to which are added oriental spices, black tea and cocoa. Pair it with duck breast or ginger-marinated chicken. A real delight!
Casa Rojo is an association of winemakers, sommeliers, wine enthusiasts and designers who wanted to market authentic Spanish wines from small family-run wineries featuring distinctive labels. They use only Spanish grape varieties such as tempranillo, garnacha, monastrell, macabeo or albariño and verdejo.
After creating wines all over Spain, José Luis Gómez and Laura Rojo decided to return to their native land in southern Spain. In 2009, they built a winery and planted a vineyard in the unique Paraje de La Raja, a fertile valley located between the Sierra del Carche and the Sierra de La Pila, in the Altiplano of the Murcia region. Today, the vineyard comprises 23 hectares of Monastrell (Mourvèdre), Garnacha (Grenache) and Syrah.
